ISOEN educational chair

At the current 21st International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose (ISOEN 2026), May 17-20, 2026, in Chongqing, China,

Christian Bur was elected as new Educational Chair of ISOCS

the International Society for Olfaction and Chemical Sensing.

ISOCS was launched by GOSPEL, the EU Network of Excellence in artificial olfaction, in May 2008. It is a multidisciplinary community of leading academics and industry. ISOCS advances the research and application of olfaction and chemical sensing by

  • Facilitating the Use of Chemical Sensing
  • Improving Skills for Researchers
  • Promoting Interdisciplinary Exchanges
  • Consolidating Diverse Expertise

The Educational Chair is responsible for organizing training schools as well as tutorials during the ISOEN conferences. Christian has actively contributed in past ISOCS winter schools and will now prepare the next winter school in Bormio (January 17-22, 2027) as well as further activities in line with ISOCS goals.

Congratulations to this exciting opportunity to extend know-how in chemical sensing and expand our international network in science and applications.
